Brief synopsis for Assignment 6:
- Group project of 2
- 1 good and bad design in our opinion from either poster, magazine, advertisements etc.
- Analyze both designs and build a case to support our opinion.
- Analysis based on Visual principles
Classroom Activitiy:
- Create 3 images to demostrate any 3 gestalt principles using simple shapes
- May resize, scale or change colour of the shape.
I have chosen continuity, closure and proximity:
Continuity:
The path shows continuity whereby it showed a path for audience to follow
Closure:
Even thou we do not see the whole complete circle but our brain still process the image as a Square on top of 4 small circles.
Proximity:
The body parts are not joint together, but because of the proximity towards each other, it appeared as one whole figure.
Lesson Gained from this class activity:
- Continuation of design can be carry over to different series.
- It is easy to remember and recollect simple shapes than complicated shapes
